Shortstop Miguel Tejada slammed a homerun at the ballpark as the Detroit Iron Gloves beat the Chainsaw Proctologists by the count of 4 to 3. Detroit jumped out to the early lead in the first inning scoring one runner. Chainsaw made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across. The win was credited to Jarrod Washburn(3-2) who went 5 innings allowing 3 runs. Washburn got relief help from Ugueth Urbina who gained credit for his 6th save. Cory Lidle(3-5) took the loss. Rick Graves was subdued when questioned after the game, 'Sure, this kind of loss takes a while to get over, but heck, we're all professionals. We've been through this many times - it's the nature of the game. We'll be fine - as for me - I'll be ready to go again tomorrow!'
